What day today, whew, had a lot to do at home, the kids and me also had a great time playing and studying. Today's President Day, so school was off. We got brand new storage for their toys and set up a system to teach them to be more orderly.
At night, a neighbor notified us about my mother-in-law's storage unit being broken into. Somebody must have busted the latch with a screwdriver on a 45 degree angle. I called the San Mateo Police Department.

All this week I've either been too busy or a little tired to make my daily entries. Anyways, Genesis was not able to go to school up until Friday. She threw a major tantrum but I got her dressed and ready for school. Matt has been a bit under the weather with an ear ache. But they are both doing fine. Smokey the Bear went to Genesis' school, she saw him and gave him a hug. Brought back some candies for her brother too.
Karla worked a few long hours and I have been working up until late searching for a job. I have also been working on a new project (which I should have done a long time ago) on doctrinal issues and my standpoint on them.
Today is Saturday, the kids woke up early because they took a long nap yesterday. I put them by my side and read them a book I printed off the Net. I asked them to close their eyes and fell asleep immediately.

Today I was wide awake at dawn. I didn't sleep a wink. The drama from last night ensued a hunting incident of immense proportions. Karla was pulling a pot from the stove drawer, when a mouse jumped startled by the noise. At once, pots, pans, dishes, everything in the cupboard, and even food was carefull removed and we did a once over to check for mouse droppings. (I'm still sick to my stomach from the sensation.)
Karla got the traps and I spent a good part of my reading time to setting them up. Around 11:00 p.m. the mouse started making noises but it would just scratch real loud.
The kids couldn't sleep because of their impression of the first time they see a mouse trapped in a home.
While I had the family settle and go to sleep, I went back to my spot and waited and waited, around 4:00 a.m. today, I heard him struggling, I quickly turned the light on and whacked the mouse, and caught him. I woke everybody, the kids were relieved to know the mouse was gone.
Matt and Gen are definitely advancing when it comes to their school assignments.
Nothing else worthy of metion happened today. C/S - S.S.

Monday, Genesis is a bit under the weather while Matt is doing really good. She is barely able to speak and is currently taking medicine.

Another day of school. It was really cold but we had to do what we had to do to get things going. I taught Matt how to use the baseball glove and play catch the ball. Of course he is improving and now moves his arm more to search for the ball and catch it.
In the afternoon we had a fun reading time, the kids got to their homework. It's amazing how smart and how fast they learn. They now know how to count in Spanish, French and English.
The evening wound down without any incidents. C/S - S.S.
